See, I told you this was a good idea ;o) We ran these on Paul Martin's KR2 during his taxi tests using simple hose clamps to hold them in place (1835 VW) and did some checking with a sound meter. They do attenuate the exhaust note somewhat, but it was already considerably less audible than the prop noise in all regimes involving engine speeds above about 1800 RPM. I can't see that they would do much to reduce performance, since they look like a straight window to the world as the exhaust sees it. Performance testing would be very interesting! And regarding posting to the list, I would ask users like Dan and others who don't seem to be getting through, to check everything carefully and make sure it's broke before we fix it.
