I found out about a month ago, that one of the old timers and long time hold outs for the retract gear, is converting to fixed. I won't tell you who it is, but he has been flying a KR as long or longer than anyone I know of. I am sure that he would like to surprise everyone at the gathering this year. He didn't tell me why he was changing and I asked him which one he was converting to, and he did not reply to that.
If anyone wants a set of retracts, I have almost 3 of them laying around here. I am using the spring bar from one of them as aluminum stock for making parts. N64KR Daniel R.
