Dwell is an electronic measure of point gap. To increase the dwell, decrease the gap. Also make sure that your dwell/tach is set to "6 cylinder", rather than 4 or 8. And to be absolutely sure about timing advance, you need to either use a degreed pulley with a regular timing light or use an "advancing" timing light that you can set to 34 degrees. Rev the engine up until all the advance is supposed to be in (wide open, to be absolutely sure) and set it to TDC. I think WW says set it to 34 degrees if running 100LL.
