Colin, I totally agree with you on this, except that with a header tank, the CG does move aft as the fuel burns off. I am also in total agreement with Jim Faughn about the importance of getting the CG in the right place. I am convinced that CG is the key to stability on this aircraft. While a low time pilot can learn to fly a conventional gear aircraft, in a KR, it is difficult. I did it, but not without much difficulty and several mishaps. N64KR Daniel R.
