Dan Deihl is using a protective skin cream in the video. Gloves work better
because the creams will wear off and you don't if they are still there. The
creams will be deposited on your glass work and you wind up handling the
materials with your bare fingers.
SportAir Workshops sponsored by EAA has an excellent two-day Composites course
that goes into the recommended techniques used in home building with lots of
hands-on practice.
A/C Spruce sent me a gallon kit of vinyl ester resin two weeks ago by UPS
ground. There was no hazmat charge. Spruce is still not allowed to ship it by
air.
Dan Heath has some good advice: "Use the right resin for the application."

A fresh air breathing system is definitely recommended, along with eye
and
        skin protection.

If this stuff is so bad, How come the Dan Deihl Wing skin viedo says
you can
spread the Vyn/ester out into finger fillets with out gloves ??
