Rich, The bottom of my mount tray is 6 3/4" from the bottom of the firewall and the back of the tray is 6 1/2" from the firewall as Mark Langford's is. Using the Nissan Sentra 1.6L starter on the rear set up, gives me 1/8" clearance between the starter and the firewall. I do have three bumps on my cowl. One each on the intakes (standard intake pads and not milled) and one for the fuel pump. In all honesty, I was concerned about the looks of the humps at first but once I finished the cowl and modified the humps from the mold I used, they really do not look too bad. Some creative paint work is planned to accent the humps.
