According to Todd, my canopy should be shipped on Wednesday. Todd cooked me one up that was medium dark tinted, 2 inches wider than the "stock" KR-2S. Turns out the original builder that I bought my project from made the cockpit 2 inches wider, so sans the plan to use the Rand-Robinson premolded turtle deck. (Rats)
Since I'm sometimes considered "vertically challenged", and that I own a 50th % Oscar Template, I've decided to remove about 2 inches from the bottom of my canopy. The theory being, I should get tail authority sooner on take-off, and since it's a smaller profile, should lend itself to maybe a faster cruise speed? (hopefully). A friend ordered 2 canopies from Todd for his Longeze project and is very happy with the quality. My point being is that Todd's Canopies: [email protected] , has the mold for a 2 inch widened KR-2S Canopy. http://www.kgarden.com/todd/ is his website.
