As the host for two years, I can say without hesitation, thanks Linda and
Steve for jumping in and carrying on the gathering.

I believe when I turned over funds after the 2000 gathering we had something
like $12-$1300 left over. It takes the host putting up the remainder out of
his/her own pocket so when you attend, buy a t-shirt, buy the meal ticket,
throw some money into the hat whatever you can do. I know at the 1999
gathering we had what most people thought was the most KRs to attend a
recent gathering. The following year rain kept some KRs away in additon to
keeping some around a few days past the gathering. What I am getting at it
the host is out on a limb in regards to the weather. Do whatever you can to
support the gathering, it is put on by the builders.
