I recently purchased a certificated KR-2 which I am "rebuilding" (condition inspection after being setting around and being hauled around the U.S.A. for 8 years). I expect this to take about 3 months (give or take 2 months). Prior to flying, I would like to get a ride in a KR-2 or -2S.
