This makes any work on the tank > impossible. Suggestions? I'll Echo what Louis said: Don't do it. How are you planning on hinging you canopy? You may want to consider that also. If you'll notice in the plans, RR suggests that the Instrument Panel be removable. If you do that, then all of you electrical connections AND the Pitot-Static lines would have to be disconnected. If you make the panel permanent and the forward deck removable,in order to service the forward tank, you'd only disturb the fuel line(s) and fuel sending wires. You'll also have far greater access to the rudder pedals, master cylinders, and the forward side of the Instrument Panel.
