I had bypass surgery (7 artery) in 1993.  I had just returned  from a 3 year
assignment overseas and wasn't fllying at the time.  A few years later I
went for a physical and had to take a stress test with a radioactive
injection and x-ray.  I also had to have a blood test for sugar and
cholesteral.  The whole process took about 3 months.

I have to repeat these tests once a year even though I have a 3rd class
medical.  I have never had any problelm passing the tests.  You just have to
remember to start the tests about 3 months before your medical expires.
