Netters, Have been sporadically working on the KR during the holidays, but hopefully we are now down to business. I cut open the tank yesterday, and spent this evening installing the new sending unit mount that I made Saturday for holding the unit down inside the header tank. I have sent pics to Dan and when he gets a chance they will be on the site. It was a unit that I acquired from JC Whitney, for $25 and is adjustable from in tank depth to 27in. It comes with a matched gauge and mounting hardware. I did not like the gasket and so I replaced it with one of my leftover unused carb gaskets from rebuilds in the past. The original with the kit was cork. I also bought an LED clearance light for my interior light at night and have mounted it in the center of the canopy. It is plenty bright and I may have to rig a shade to prevent it from being too bright, but there is no missing the instruments! Best part: its was $10, and the cheapest light anything from AS&S was like $80.
