>Yes, I did search the archives and read all the post but I would like to know who has flown the KR-2S without adding the wing extensions as the plans call for and what their results were. >Mark Jones (N886MJ) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mark, Mine is a 24 inch stretch but has the stock KR2 wing. Mine is actually 4 inches shorter than stock if I remember correctly. I think the plans call for an 8 inch tip beyond the 36 inch end rib but I went 4 inches on each tip. The results were just fine. I was getting 750 fpm (uncalibrated and unvarified at this time) climb while only turning a weak 2200 rpm with the 0-200. My KR has a 765 empty weight, I weigh in at 200, and I had probably 12 gal of fuel, for a total of approx 1025 to 1050 pounds. I'm hoping Ed ships my prop back this week and I'll start posting some measured performance numbers. Larry Flesner
