Friends, FYI, I just recieved my crankshaft-flywheel-prophub assembly along with new pistons and Hapi connecting rods from the machine shop, all balanced to within 1/2 gram. My pistons and connecting rods are now interchangable a can be assembled in any order without affecting dynamic balancing. Computerized spin balancing machines were used, the same ones used on draster engines for competion builds. The most unbalanced parts was the four connecting rods, they were major unbalanced [ they waid about the same, but the ends were unbalanced]. Grinding for balance was very noticable. Now each rod is within 1/2 gram [both ends]. Factory new aluminum 94mm J E Racing new piston assemblies [rings,pins and pistons] were within 1 1/2 grams by the factory, they are now within 1/2gram.
The crank and connection rods assembly engine componets were from a new Hapi engine. I guess they did'nt have the equipment then that we have today. My cost $100.00 for the lot. Recieved my Nickie aluminum Cylinders from LN Engineering. Turbo has been overhauled waiting for creamic coating. Waiting for my Autronic fuel injection and electronic ingnition system to arrive. Making progress with engine build. KRRon
