Larry, Try bolting a 2x2x1/8 aluminum angle to a 2x4x1/8 sheet with (4) AN3 bolts through the aileron spar. Be sure to use big fender washers so you don't crush the lumber. The bolts at the top nearest the hinge can use the hinge as a washer. Run some epoxy through the lumber holes using a pipe cleaner to seal the lumber against dry rot.
