I think that's what I have installed in the Tripacer. I adjusted it when I installed it and haven't had to touch it again. I adjusted mine without the engine running but if you have engine noise you'll have to adjust with the engine started. The S is squelch and the other I think is for brightness or something. Turn the S (probably counterclockwise) until you get background noise and then the opposit direction to silence, just like a squelch knob on any other radio. Just make sure you adjust while no signal is being received (no one talking). Using a close but unused frequency will make the job easier. Good luck. Those are great radios. Larry Flesner
