I flew my KR this morning to an airshow about 40 miles out. The air was quite smooth at 3500 feet so I did some "hand off the stick" test. On one attempt I was able to take my hand off the stick for a full 30 seconds (timed with my watch) before it started to wander off and I had to grip the stick. I did cheat a bit with some side to side head bobbing and a few sholder wiggles. That's the longest I've been able to release the stick and challenge other KR fliers to beat that time. I once made a flight in the Tripacer just after sundown and was able to fly hands off the yoke for 25 minutes. I did a forward and back lean for altitude correction and very slight rudder inputs for direction and wings level. I even made the decent into the airport hands off the yoke. I finally had to grip the yoke after trying to rudder a turn into a left downwind. Larry Flesner 76+ hours and still grinning
