Is this enough for a tail dragger? If in flying attitude, it doesn't matter if it is tri-gear or tail-gear. I have read 9" minimum here on the net. You could search the archives for the discussion on this subject.
Should my thrust line be the top of my longerons? Yes. There has been a lot of discussion on that issue as well. If you search the archives you will find that it is not exact.
