re: attaching the baffeling to the motor I built small brackets of angle aluminum and attached them to some of the bolts on the head and also used all of what you said. The real answer is, for me, "any way you can". Steve Bennett sells a little packet of templates that work very well, but I don't remember if he says anything about how to attach it. In 13 more days, you can see for yourself and shortly after that, I will be pondering the same question all over again, so I guess I better pay attention.
