just a thought, for a given aera of inlet only so much cooling can be cramed in 
per unit of time. would it be possible to get more air in the same area by 
putting vortex generaters arround the inlet openings there-by smothing out 
turbulent air ?

  engine has demonstrated that it will run cool once there is sufficient cool
  air entering the cowl, as in cruise flight.
