>KRnetHeads, >It's kinda quiet tonight, so I'll throw this bone out there. Some folks >have mentioned building a KR twin. You're not the first to think of this. >Check out http://www.krnet.org/misc/kr3_twin.pdf . The specs are rather >interesting. >Mark Langford, +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The most interesting part of the spec's is to study them closely and then try to determine who was smoking what. 500 pounds empty weight for a twin?! Even Ken's "ultra-light" KR2 came in at 480 pounds.! Also interesting, same stall and cruise as the KR2. My Walter Mitty dream is a scale Cessna 310 (early style) with twin Corvairs. A spacious 2 place, side by side, with gullwing entry, retracts, etc.. Engine mounts across the spars with main gear attach as a single unit. But hey, what am I thinking? I won't even stop fly the KR2 long enough to finish it!!!! Have a Merry Christmas everyone or a happy holiday for whatever you are celebrating. Larry Flesner
