I am determined to fly my plane soon, Today, I headed out to the airport with a temp of 7° this morning. I dressed accordingly and began working on my plane. I installed the gap seals between the outboard and stub wings. I then removed the cowl and adjusted my mixture screw. Next, I set the timing on my engine. I just wonder what the wind chill was behind the prop while I was doing that. My cheeks were frigid. After that, I re-installed the cowl and headed out for some taxi runs. I spent six hours out in the cold with my plane today and am very close to being ready for that first flight. Next weekend we are supposed to be in the low 40s so just maybe it will be the magic time.
