The first one I had was installed out the bottom as per plans, I >found that it had a 20 mph error due to turbulence around the retracts. > >Parley Byington >+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I built / installed the pitot/static setup per plans and mounted it just outboard of the center section and it works to within 1 to 3 mph at cruise based on a number of checks with the GPS. It seem to be accurate at the low end also as the KR lifts off just above 50mph indicated. I have a bit of extra length on the hoses and when installing the outer wing panel I run the hoses into the outer wing and out the mounting hole. With wing attached I stuff the hose as far as they will go into the 1/4" pitot/static tubes, stick the extra hose back into the wing and attach the pitot/static tubes. Larry Flesner
