The KR I got a few weeks ago has a Hegy prop on it with a brass leading edge. All of the metal leading edges I have seen on other props were inlaid into the wood. This leading edge is over the wood so it has about a 1/16" step down at the back of the leading edge where it wraps over the wood. The varnish goes over the wood and the brass. Is this normal for a Hegy prop or did someone add this leading edge as an afterthought?
