Above is the web page for a pdf application chart to see what. Unfortunately I did not see a chart to convert part numbers into what if was meant for. The series that fits the VW started in the old days as a 4016 and has been upgraded to the now 4316. The 2216 is not listed for the VW application. If the data plate is still attached it should tell you the rotation and the lag angle if it is Impulse coupled. I would get a current mag through Great Plains. The old mags are hard to find parts for and the parts cost too much. I don't recommend to my customers that they have me try to rebuild old mags, because at current labor rates, it only takes a few hours and one or two parts to make you wish you had purchased a new one.
