I recall when I was learning to fly in Arizona in 57, my instructor said to 
dive with a dead engine until you reach about 10% above cruise speed and then 
pull out a little tighter than you normally would and the prop should start 
windmilling. Champ, J3, Luscomb, Tri-Pacer.
