NASA has proved for years that if you put enough money in something it will 
fly.  In the KR group every now and then we see a KR that was built with 
cost in mind, like Bill Clapp.  To me the question is how much reliability 
can be put into the engine without paying someone else a profit and 
development costs.  Both of these costs tend to push the cost to the limit 
of what a homebuilder can afford.
