The key word here appears to be "alcohol".  Use auto fuel without the alcohol.
I'm down to one supplier in my area that sells auto fuel without alcohol
so you can guess where I spend all my flying money.  I'd recommend adding
the recommended 4 oz. of Marvel Mystery Oil to each 10 gallon of fuel
also.  I ran auto fuel in the Tripacer for 500+ hours and the KR now for
190 hours with this combination and haven't had a single problem
with either one to this point.  These were / are both high time engines
with 2000 and 2000+ hours on each.

Alcohol, besides damaging some of the components in a fuel system that
are not compatible,  has less energy per gallon.  If you were burning
straight alcohol you would have to burn more gallons per hour to get the
same performance from your aircraft.  Auto fuel with smaller amounts added
would have to effect your mileage to some extent.  You can't fool 
Mother Nature.
