I would like to get input from the various members of the group about the KR2.
I found a project KR2 on barnstormers that I am considering. It appears the
fuselage has been built. The current owner bought the project from the original
builder but hasn't touched the project since purchase. One wing will probably
need rebuilding due to varmit damage. It has retracts currently but I would
prefer tri-cycle gear. How bad would it be to convert over? The turtleback
appears to be on but the canopy hasn't been mounted yet. Flight control cables
have been ran.

Realistically what seems to be the average time span involved to get a plane
together? This would be my first attempt at plan building. My mechanical skills
are about average. I would like to do a Corvair conversion with William Wynne's
book as my guide. I was wanting to get something already started to try to
increase my chances of completing a project. The project is about 500 miles
from my home.

I am a low time pilot without a tailwheel endorsement. My only experience
flying is C172's.

Would this be a respectable endeavor to pursue? Please email off line so as not
to tie up everyone on the list.

Thanks,
Michael Coates
