I DROVE from Denver last year to the gathering ... I tried to be more of a
fly on the wall then anything else.... One thing I remember was that the
city of Mt. Vernon and the chamber of commerce really wanted to keep the
gathering there and wanted to help our cause.. perhaps we can ask and see if
they can schedule a loaner car... or schedule someone a few times a day to
take the pilots around to where they need to go. Might be alot to ask...
but its worth a try.
I am also planning on driving in this year too... my plane is still wood and
foam.. ;) have some metal to hang off the front end now though... but its
not going to be a bird for a few more years. Anyway, I would be more then
happy to run people around once and awhile when I get there.
