I had similar problems when I first installed the system and before long the indicator quit completely. I called Ray Allen and they said to send it back for repair. I never did. That was almost 200 hours ago. I find I don't need the indicator anyway. The landing trim required is close enough to neutral that I simply re-trim on climb out. My trim switch and indicator is located in a position that's hard to see anyway. The only real use for the indicator might be to find neutral setting on the pre-takeoff list but again, for me it's a non issue. You trim by feel in flight anyway. A grounded shielded cable on installation might be advisable. I got in three flights today. A quick flight before work this morning at 6:45AM, I flew out for lunch, and then again after work. It sure is handy having the KR in the same hangar where I work. I shut down with 199.2 on the hobbs meter. Life is good. :-) The vibration I was getting on takeoff and landing that I thought was tire scuffing appears to have been a wheel pant rubbing on a tire. My last landing on hard surface with no wind used 900 feet according to the guy in the tower. After 200 hours I'm learning to slow it down. Can't say I'm comfortable with the attitude at touchdown that slow. I'm almost in a three point attitude and I prefer visibility over the nose if I have the runway to wheel land slightly tail low.
