Jim, I made mine. I used sculpturing (?) clay to form mine. I placed release tape anythere I did not want the fiberglass to stick formed it, glassed it and then cut it loose from the fuselage side. Determine how you are going to hold it together before you cut. You can add an inside piece of pre-laid fibergalss with nut plates. Other builders may have a better and easier way, but this works.
