The center stick is not really a "flip-over" but rather a stick with a Y connection at the top. I did the first flight of a 601 that was running a Harley engine and it even had a motorcycle style throttle grip mounted on the pilot side of the Y stick. That WAS a bit strange. The standard Y stick probably wouldn't take much getting used if you're comfortable with that type of setup. The builder of this 601 also grumbled constantly about the quality , design, and fit of many of the components as well as factory support in dealing with many of his concerns. At certain rpm the Harley could really get the fuselage to "oil can". As far as flying qualities I would place it on the plus side of a lightly loaded C-150. Control pressures are a bit lighter and response a bit quicker. It really was a pleasant flyer for that class of aircraft. Larry Flesner
