You can have them replated and then bored, but for the cost of the VW
cylinders it is best to just buy a new one.

I have one very badly scored cylinder, and the piston shows the same.  The
other cylinders probably need honing and of course there is wear on all the
rings.  Everything else looks good.

I don't know if the cylinders can be "re-sleeved" or if I will have to buy
all new ones.  I think I have to get all new pistons to keep them in a
balanced set.  I don't want to "over kill" it, but do want to do it right.
