Allen, I have used this foam for non structural components like fairings, turtle decks, etc. and it works fine for that. However, I haven't used it in any structural locations and unless someone else has and has been flying for a while I wouldn't recommend it. The biggest problem with it is the care that is required while handling it. It is easily dented. Lastly, if by "filler" you mean micro-slurry, any foam that is cut needs to be sealed prior to glassing.
