I've used two methods. I've jacked the aircraft placing the jack head (circular jack head on a floor jack) on the bolts on bottom side of the gear leg on the the lower gear fitting and on other occasions I've jacked it by placing a padded wood block on the bottom side of the front spar. In either case, with a tail wheel configuration, you will want to weight or tie down the tail as the jack point is near or on the C.G. location and when the weight is transferred to the jack the aircraft may want to tip on it's nose. You may want to raise the tail to a level position and then add the weight or tie down so the block does not tend to slide forward on the wing as the jack picks up the weight. Having a second person available to monitor the tail until you know it is stabilized could save some real $ heartache. Also, make sure you chock the other main wheel. Larry Flesner
