Common? I think not. It seems most develop their proficiency in the solo mode. I've not heard of may builders that got enough KR dual to get proficient. I think the next best thing is to have or get a lot of recent time in almost anything. You should at least be comfortable in the air and the KR the only thing new on the flight. You certainly don't want to feel overwhelmed before you even add power for the takeoff roll. Larry Flesner
