Actually on my particular installation, it will be
mounted below and to the right hand side of the
engine.  This alt is too long to fit in the "standard"
spot for the 'vair.  

I also don't have any room between the engine and the
firewall, or I would have put it back there.  Standard
'vair installations may fare better in this respect.
