The strip is 3000 feet with a slight uphill grade. I was using 80 mph indicated with the speed brake fully deployed. Actually, the camera was a new digital still picture camera that is capable of shooting up to 20 or so minutes of video, depending on the memory card installed. The camera is simply resting on the instrument panel and held in place with a rubber band to the vertical card compass. Not real hi-tech. Your can tell from the video that the speed brake adds enough drag to lower the nose for great visibility during the approach and flare. My eye level was / is well above the view you see in the video clip. I later mounted it high in the cockpit, about eye level on a metal mount but was not happy with the results. Too much vibration, or so it seemed. I later learned that the vibration I was getting on ground roll was due to a wheel pant rubbing on the tire. I may have to try it again sometime. I have several takeoffs on video also that have not been posted due to load times as well as another landing video at another 3000 foot grass strip. Maybe I can post them to the new KR net site.
