One possibility is the the guy that rebuilt the engine forgot to oil that seal's sealing surface where it interfaces with the hub. If it's started dry, it may leak from then on. Another possibility is excessive blowby or the lack of good crankcase ventilation. If the rings or valves are allowing the case to be pressurized with more oil vapor than the oil separator system can handle, it may force its way past the seal. I'd be amazed if the crank was bent enough to make that seal leak while the prop still tracked true. He's checked that, right? As an aside, mine has 80 hours on a new seal (at the 100 hour condition inspection) with "minor seepage" around the main seal, and I'm not worried about it! It's not enough to drip on the ground, so I'm OK with that. Steve Bennett might have an idea on this.
