Hi Pete;

Well, I need to know these things. What I'm doing is a rebuild of my own
KR-2 because I think (hope) I can make it better (I've learn a lot since I
built it). I have been using mechanical disk brakes all along but thought I
might be better off with hydraulics. Perhaps what I really need is a better
way of applying the brakes I have. By that I mean my linkage is not the best
or easiest to use (it's just a pull handle). Like you say, it will hold for
engine run-up but I don't dare use it to slow down because I can't control
it that well. If anyone has a better way then I'm all ears. I'd like to see
pictures or a diagram. I'm searching the KR web sites but haven't seen
anything I can use yet. I'm wanting to replace my retract gear with fixed
Diehl gear since I'm planning on going that deep with this project and I'd
like to lighten up (I'm on a diet and so is the plane). I'm open to any
ideas on this or any other subject.
