Ken, I am a low time stick pilot also, I have over 300 hours of yoke time,
and I too was concerned about my ability to adapt to a different type of
control, alas, I went up in a citabria with an instructor, both to get a
feel for taildraggers, and joystick, in one swoop. Much to my pleasant
surprise, I found myself adapting very quickly to this new way of
controlling an aircraft. You will find that the KR's fly, mostly with
minimal stick input, mostly wrist movements, correct me if I'm wrong guys,
but for those that have been flying KR's and taildraggers for way longer
than I, I think they will attest to the fact that it's not a gruesome
transformation, but rather a different approach to the same means, with less
input required to direct the nose. My $.02 worth
