Gang, Last June when I was in England, I had the pleasure of seeing Phil's plane and his strip. Both are incredible and he was an excellent host. We are so spoiled here in the U.S. I just did my biannual flight review and I had to do my short field landings 3 times before it was acceptable. And even then it was marginal. In England these guys have 400 to 500 meters at their disposal and are glad of it. Here we use 3 times that and feel constrained. You have to be a good pilot to consistently use short fields. Our U.K. brothers are real pioneers.
