Paul,

As you continue to read the operating limitations,
"unless you are going to or from an airport".. Aren't
you always going to or from an airport!! You can fly
your experimental any place that it has the legal
equipment to fly into or out of..

I fly a Motorglider here in the St. Louis area under
the Class B mode C veil, without a mode C xponder;
because I do not have an "electrical system" and also
because it is a motorglider. I meet all the
requirements for flying in the area as an
experimental. Also, because it is single place I do
not need an ELT.. Obviously I would not want to fly
into St. Louis International airport and cannot due to
not having the xponder.. I also fly a 1939 Luscombe
with no electrical system all over the same area.

Lots of the areas are congested but I travel right
over them because I am going to or from an airport
every time I fly somewhere..

Have fun.. Fly safely.

Ron
