What can I say Phil?

I'm absolutely gutted for you. Truly gutted. More importantly though I'm
glad you escaped any serious injury.

up date
well we got it all back to the hangar
and taking into account eye witness reports of seeing a smallish black
thing drop off -- spinner
probable causes

spinner brackets broke --this is unlikely as i was sanding spinner down for

painting hours before so was vigourously rubbing it

prop blade failure near hub
foreign object hit blade in such a way to cause failure of blade
recomendations

all spinners have front plate as well as rear one---- mine just had one on
rear
vigourously pulling pushing prop before take off - checking for anything a

miss and spinning prop over with mag off and throttle closed over all 4 cyls

checking for compression and right sounds coming out of exhaUST --leaky
valve
vigourously checking spinner

have sent mark jones pickies --they are not nice and you will all probably
ask how i got out in one piece

best for now
