I tried to send this this morn but having problems. Termites need moisture to survive. Keep your project dry and off the ground you should not get termites. Termites do swarm when the colony gets overcrowded. Termites can not survive in the light so they build tunnels to the food source in which the move back and forth. Look for mud looking tunnels. This post makes me think of the time I was looking at a sanded gusset joint with magnifying glass to see what the effects of sanding and blowing out with air does. To my suprise I saw a type of wood mite. They were in the box of spruce. I looked a little later and could not find any.
