Hi Guys, Glad to say that apart from doing some facelift work on my baby, that she is all finished. I fitted an 300mm x 200mm x 50mm intercooler between the turbo and the inlet manifold. WOW, what a difference! The 2.4 VW now has allot more torque. Since fitting it, I was able to fly continuously at 38in boost with the oil temp at 89 deg C. I also fitted a new Icom A200 after 3 radio failures in the circuit. I have 34 hours on her now and will take her to the GF for the last 6 hours of testing. Up till now she managed 138mph (in the circuit) before I had to throttle back to turn baseleg. I replaced the cables to the elevator with an aluminium pushrod. Extreme difference in the handling.
