Hi,

I bought an older used KR2 on ebay not long ago.
The airplane has a restricted airworthyness cert from
the 1980's and 22 hours on the hobbs. I can't
tell from the records if those were flight hours.

The plane was in the rain at least a time or two,
there are some minor watermarks. The engine came
to me disassembled, one cyl has a monor score mark.
I am about to order a new 2180 long block from
Great Planes w/dual ign.

I am wondering it there is a safe way to flip this
bird over and stress test the wings with
sand bags. I suppose some sort of fixture
between the ground and the wing spars would have
to be built.

Any suggestions on getting this bird into the air?
Will it need an annual? EAA indicates I can repair
it, but not certify it airworthy.

any suggestions on what to look for in getting a
20year old bird back together would be very much
appreciated.

thanks

jg
