Must be a major block in that R carb, but the main Phil, use carb spray while running and fog over the inlet and make the right side hit. If the rpms go up and that side runs, then the carb is bad, maybe a jet plugged or not drilled out correctly. Exchange the carb for a good one. Also, check that the signal vacuum port underneath is not plugged up, or blocked. If no vacuum signal, no fuel flow; same with my Mikuni carbs on the Yamaha V-Star.
