Don't know anything about this specific engine, but it might be worth looking over if you're in that part of the country. $5500 for a freshly overhauled engine would pique my curiosity. It's undoubtedly a field overhaul, so I would read through the logs very closely to see what wasn't done, but it could also be a great buy.
